“When the Birds Were Banished from the Palace” by Saoirse Stice

Saoirse Stice (age 5)

WHEN THE BIRDS WERE BANISHED FROM THE PALACE

When the wolves would howl,
the birdseed was banished,
the moon rose, the birds
were banished from the palace.

The birds were very hungry,
but they had nothing to eat.
The birdseed was called
Get Well Birdseed.

The moon was spinning and then
the moon was in the daytime.
The birds came back, and
the birdseed came back.
