“London” by Elliot L. Armitage

Elliot L. Armitage (age 11)

Dirty brown water cuts this bloody pizza
Clean through
On one side you’ll get your head chopped off
On the other your head wobbled and tilted
Looking at skyscrapers with names like
The Gherkin The Shard of Glass The Cheese
Grater. I’ll give you a map:
Elliot's London Map

Fact: London has very different dietary needs.

Why do you like to write poetry?

Elliot L. Armitage: “When I write poetry, I feel like I empty myself and then I can start myself anew.”
