Jessica Cohn: “I wrote this sitting in my car in the emptied parking lot of the Santa Cruz Superior Court. (Some of us still have to go to work.) The city is not much of a city with so few people out. This poem is a response to that, everything else that is COVID-19, and the fact that spring is early this year, historically so. Poems about spring keep showing up on my feed and in email, and they strike me as so strange this year. Be well, people. Love from here.” (web)
