Longing is the word to describe the ache which accompanies a woman&#039;s successful conformed family life, when she becomes aware of her own needs and desires for pleasure,and possibilities for boundless joy in a natural fair intellectual community with other women. White&#039;s poems desribe this longing and the reality of the inevitable choice of submission by most.</description>
