Margaret Green: “Poetry and I have been friends since I was very young. Billy Collins and Shel Silverstein have helped me over rough spots. Many experiences have developed in teaching, mothering, oil painting, and gardening. You have to single out one thing and put it on a different level. My family is large, with fourteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren (I’m only 87), and only one who appreciates poetry. You might know him by name.”
